David Ralf

Producer | 2016 Bursary

David produced his first solo piece – a site-specific collection of short audio plays and installations about the EU called Hotel Europe. His bursary particularly supported his plans for innovative digital distribution of this piece.

Since receiving the bursary…

David is a producer, dramaturg and theatre manager. He is CEO & Executive Director of meanwhile-space arts charity Theatre Deli. He was previously Executive Director of The Bunker Theatre (The Stage Awards Fringe Theatre of the Year 2020) having joined the theatre as General Manager in 2017. He was Associate Producer of The Hope Theatre. He also produces theatre with his company, Loose Tongue, and writes plays. Festivals for Theatre Deli include The Social Model & More Festival, City Fringe, ARTivism, Good to Go and Pandemic in the City. Productions for The Bunker include the sell-out My White Best Friend (and other letters left unsaid) festival, This is Black, Breaking Out, Germ Free Adolescent, Little Miss Burden (co-production with Harts Theatre) and We Anchor in Hope (co-production with W14 Productions). Other productions include The Trick (Bush Theatre/HighTide), Sea Fret (Old Red Lion Theatre/HighTide Festival), Hotel Europe (Green Rooms Hotel/Old Red Lion Theatre), Brimstone & Treacle, The Wild Party, Steel Magnolias, Sea Life, The Window/Blank Pages (The Hope Theatre). David is also a recipient of the Stage One New Producers Bursary.
