Júlia is a theatre director from Budapest based in London. Her recent directing credits include the 5 star revival of Smoke (Southwark Playhouse) co-directed with Polina Kalinina, We’ll Be Who We Are by Naomi Obeng (VAULT Festival), and directing the reading of Stella Green’s new play, Not Really Now Not Any More (New Diorama Theatre). Her Assistant Director credits include: Hope Has A Happy Meal (Royal Court), All’s Well That Ends Well (Royal Shakespeare Company), and Nora: A Doll’s House (Young Vic). She’s a script reader for the NT Studio, the Royal Court’s Living Archive, the Women’s Prize for Playwriting, Papatango Prize and the Bruntwood Prize.

She is currently developing several new plays with playwrights, and working on a design-led project in co-creation with Tingying Dong & Blythe Brett. She is next working as Staff Director on Dear Octopus at the National Theatre.
