Margaret Perry: from MGCfutures to the Royal Court’s new season

Writer Margaret Perry is part of David Byrne’s exciting debut season at the Royal Court. Her theatre adaptation of Bluets will be directed by Katie Mitchell, and the cast includes MGCfutures patron Ben Whishaw.

We supported Margaret in 2017 to finish writing her play Collapsible, which premiered at the Vault Festival in 2019 and later transferred to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Dublin Fringe and Bush Theatre. She received the VAULT Origins Award for Outstanding New Work 2019 and the Fishamble New Writing Award 2019 at the Dublin Fringe for Collapsible.  

She is currently attached to the RSC and under commission at the Soho Theatre and The Abbey.
